Back from Vacation!

Well, I think we really lucked out and picked the best week possible to get off weather-wise!
Some of the highlights:
An overnight trip to Niagara Falls with friends for birthday fun :)

We took Reid to the park for the first time - he loved it so much, especially the swings.  It was amazing to see him crawling all over the place, looking so inquisitive and curious <3

And finally, we spent an amazing weekend at Dan's parents' trailer with Reid and he got to ride his first bike! (An early birthday gift from grandma and grandpa Fleming <3)

Now back to the regular schedule, haha!  And the stuff I'm sure you are most interested in, I managed to squeeze in some layouts in between :)

All of these layouts were completed with my latest Studio Calico goodies - I ended up ordering three of the four add-ons this month (all except Leica - with a house full of boys, Holga had enough pink for me this time, lol).  After seeing the sneak peeks, I might have another "indulgent" month ;)

Well, that's all for the moment - I will try to get some of the new photos from this week scrapped and be back soon!  Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day :)

Basic Grey What's Up Collection

Here's the first layout I created with the prize pack from Basic Grey. I still can't believe our little guy is 9 months old already (that layout is to follow!). Time really does fly when you're having fun <3

Birthday Surprise

Hi everyone!
Well, it was a wonderful week off with Dan and Reid, and I will have lots of pictures and layouts to share :)
One of the best surprises this week was when my Basic Grey What's Up collection pack arrived - on my birthday! Good timing :) I still can't believe I was lucky enough to win their blog contest.
For some reason Blogger isn't working properly on my computer so I can only post one photo at a time - I will post again very shortly with some new layouts.
I'm hoping to get my Etsy store up and running this week, too. Fingers crossed!

Albion Falls (and a snack, haha!)

Happy Tuesday!
We took the little guy for a hike a couple of weeks ago to see the waterfall near our house. Of course, no trip is complete unless Reid manages to eat something he shouldn't, LOL.
I really can't believe he's going to be 9 months old on Friday. These past nine months have been the most awesome and scary months of my life - and the best <3 He's so much fun and his crazy facial expressions just crack me up.
The next little while will be crazy - Dan is on vacation starting Friday and next week is my birthday - but lots of opportunities for pictures! Which is good since I ended up ordering 4 kits from Studio Calico! Haha :)
I hope everyone is having a wonderful first of May, filled with love and laughter!

10 Things I Love About Everyday

Good evening everyone! Hope you all had a lovely weekend. This weekend was pretty low-key for us, since Dan worked Friday and Saturday, but today we finally were able to catch up on a bit of house maintenance and spring cleaning (better late than never, haha!).
We did a bit of shopping, too, and I bought us all matching Canada day t-shirts for July 1st - I figure it will make a pretty cute family photo (fingers crossed the weather is nice!).
Shortly I hope to start sharing photos of our everyday lives and other crafty projects I'm working on - I'm still pretty new to blogging and if anyone has any suggestions/comments, I'd love to hear them!
The layout above was to document one of my favourite photos of Dan and Reid - I love how Dan is such a natural father and how Reid loves spending time with him.  It warms my heart to see them together :)  This page uses a few elements from the Story Hour and City of Lights kits from Studio Calico, some new My Mind's Eye papers and the 10 things envelope is from Little Yellow Bicycle.
Have a great night and hope Monday is not too rough on anyone, LOL. :)

Loving Early Summer Weather

We were really lucky to have beautiful weather for a bit last month. We took advantage of the unseasonal temperatures and took Reid to the beach for the first time - he loved it! After trying to eat rocks (and succeeding in eating a tiny bit of sand) we went for a walk and got some ice cream :)

On a side note, just wanted to mention how amazing Basic Grey is, and how excited I was to find out earlier that I won a collection pack for their new line. I'll be sharing some pics and layouts as soon as possibe!

Happy Wednesday!

Early Mother's Day Layout

This photo was taken in March, but it's one of my favorites of Reid and I, so I thought it would be perfect on a layout about us. There is hidden journaling on the 'Sincerely Yours' tag. Hope everyone had a safe and happy weekend!

City of Lights Cards

The City of Lights kit is my favourite from Studio Calico so far - I love the colours and the adorable bicycle stamps!  Here are two cards I made using the kit, one for Mother's Day and the other for a birthday :

Have a wonderful day!

Spring Layouts

Well, I managed to get not one, but two layouts finished today!  The little guy had a fun afternoon hanging out with daddy so that mom could have some 'creative' time :)

These layouts were both completed with products from Studio Calico kits (City of Lights, Story Hour, Daydream Believer and County Fair).  I'll update later with specific products used.  Hope everyone is having a great day!

My most recently completed layout using the City of Lights kit from Studio Calico.  This was a very special Easter for us, as it was our first with Reid.  These pictures are from our dinner with my family - shortly I'll have a layout from the dinner we had with my husband, Dan's family.  I'll try to be back soon with more - have a good night everyone!
Here's a pic of a recent layout I completed using the Story Hour kit from Studio Calico.  I am currently on maternity leave with our first son, Reid, who is 8 months old - but I'm also trying to finish a French degree.  It's been a little trickier than I thought to juggle Reid with the courses, but I'm very lucky to have a really supportive husband.  I just hope it's worth it in the end!

Welcome!

Here it is - my very first blog post!  Hopefully this is the first of many.  I will be back shortly to post some scrapbook pages I recently completed and in the near future I hope to have some card pictures as well.  If you have any questions, please feel free to message me!
